The company that was planning to invest US$20 million in a cruise port and conference centre at Kep, Cambodia, is considering pulling out, the Phnom Penh Post has reported. The withdrawal is being threatened in a dispute with Cambodian authorities over where to locate the port. The Rotong Development Group reportedly wants to build on Kep’s existing French colonial-era docks, however authorities have proposed an out-of-town location, 5km from Kep.
