Jetstar will initially add four additional weekly services from 1 June 2010 with three additional services coming on line from 7 July 2010.

The new services will be operated by Jetstar’s ninth A320 aircraft to be based in Singapore as part of its planned operational capacity growth of 46% over a year.
Jetstar Asia / Valuair Chief Executive Officer Ms Chong Phit Lian said growth opportunities continued to present themselves on existing Jetstar routes.
“Last year’s double digit passenger traffic growth has continued during the first quarter of this year, with markets like Manila showing good potential for further growth,” she said.
“This route continues to respond well to our low fares, a strong attraction for the business and corporate market along with the visiting friends and relatives market on this route in particular,” Ms Chong said.
Jetstar recently announced incremental increases to flying to Ho Chi Minh City and Hong Kong from Singapore with the carrier’s latest A320 based in Singapore.
“We are continuing to grow Jetstar’s hub presence at Singapore Changi International Airport with these new services and growth of our Singapore network,” Ms Chong said.
“Jetstar is in an ideal position with many new aircraft coming into our fleet to capitalise on the resilience of the Asian market and the growth opportunities that exist for value based carriers.
“Boosting frequency on our existing services, creating more robust schedules for our existing Jetstar customers along with our Qantas interline passengers, is a key driver of our broader Pan Asian distribution growth strategy,” Ms Chong said.
All Singapore-Manila services will operate from Singapore Changi International Airport Terminal 1 to Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
