Boeing forecasts 28,600 airplanes will be delivered by 2026, about 5% more than the 27,210 it predicted last year, due to the addition of Russian sales and continued economic growth in China.
According to Randy Tinseth, Boeing Commercial VP marketing, by 2006 Asia Pacific “will clearly be the largest aviation market in the world.”
Meanwhile, US prospects look dim. “Even if they start buying now, it’s going to take many, many years to replace (their aging aircraft),” Tinseth said.
