INDIA caught its first glimpse of the Airbus A380 superjumbo on the weekend, with the touch down of one of five A380’s purchased by new Indian carrier Kingfisher.
The aircraft flew to India to test the ability of Indian airports to deal with the size of the A380, and to raise Kingfisher’s profile. The purchase of five superjumbo’s is part of a wider deal between Airbus and Kingfisher valued at $3billion.
