ABTA has identified the first five red tape regulations its members would like to see dropped. The association’s Red Tape Task Force has found that members are unhappy with current redundant signs, inconsistent fire regulations and high charges for alcohol licences. Members also disliked collecting large amounts of customer information and having to get unnecessary energy performance certificates. “These five recommendations are just a taste of the full report we will be submitting to the Government in July,” said Luke Pollard, head of public affairs at ABTA. “We have already received and acted on suggestions from ABTA members, but continued industry feedback is essential and will help us immensely when drafting our full report.” ABTA has posted the proposal and its official regulation titles on the Government section of its website.
