Hotel operator Accor has revealed its online booking system for the trade has been deployed in 500 hotels located in more than 150 destinations, 12 months after its launch.
More than 3,500 leisure group bookings have been made to date via the platform, which has been deployed mainly to European hotels and is available via Accor’s corporate website.
The company revealed an additional 250 hotels in all market segments will begin offering the service in Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific this year. Deployment will focus on the Asia-Pacific region where a total of 150 hotels are expected to be using the system by the end of the year, up from 12 at present.
Accor says the technology simplifies the booking procedure for leisure groups of 15 to 60 people and allows users to consult single, double and twin room availability in real time; access the best available rates; and to pre-book directly in the hotel’s system.
