Accor expands presence in UAE

Accor Middle East has officially inaugurated the Novotel Al Barsha. Owned by API Hotels and Resorts, the 465 rooms, four-star property caters to both business and leisure travellers.
Christopher Landais, managing director for Accor Middle East said: “The Novotel brand our guests’ value for money in terms of both services provided and facilities.”
The Novotel Al Barsha offers 376 rooms and 90 suites, five restaurants and bars. For the corporate traveller, the hotel offers an extensive banqueting and meeting facilities with the innovative EUREKA meeting concept. The IN BALANCE by Novotel is the hotel’s fitness and spa facility. With seven massage rooms, a relaxation area, two saunas, two steam baths and an outdoor swimming pool, leisure guests can get away from the city life.
The Novotel Al Barsha is Accor’s fifth Novotel property in UAE and the 13th region-wide (three in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, one in Bahrain and four in Egypt) representing 2,547 rooms. Five additional properties are committed for development in the region by the close of 2015.
Accor’s current regional portfolio of 60 hotels includes 10 operational hotels in UAE with 19 new hotels planned to open by the close of 2015, six are committed for UAE.
