Accor steps up Indonesia development

Accor has announced the signing of five new management contracts in Indonesia. The new developments will fall under the Mercure and Novotel brands and add to the group’s existing 37 Indonesian properties.
“The success of the Accor hotels network in Indonesia for over a decade is intertwined with the strong partnerships we’ve established with local partners. Indonesia, as one of the key growth markets for Accor in Asia Pacific, is a very dynamic country with positively growing inbound, outbound and domestic travel sectors.” said Gerard Guillouet, Vice President Operations of Accor Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.
The five new hotels to join the Indonesian network are: the 230-room Novotel Jakarta Gajah Mada, the 152-room Novotel Manado on the island of Sulawesi, the 230-room Novotel Tangerang in Tangerang City, 20km west oof Jakarta, the 150-room Novotel Bangka, a new build hotel on Bangka island, off the east coast of Sumatera, and the 160-room Mercure Solo in Solo, Java.
