The vote as ‘Best Hotel Chain’ in the 2007 HotelClub Hotel Awards follows a similar award in the 2007 Hotel management (HM) Awards for Excellence earlier this month.
“It is a great tribute to the team that we are winning so many awards across such a diverse range of categories,” said Simon McGrath, Accor’s Vice President – Australia. Hotel winners were chosen as a result of an on-line global survey hosted on the HotelClub website.
More than 55,000 people participated in the poll, with 335 hotels shortlisted as finalists – including nearly 50 Accor hotels across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Consumers were asked to nominate hotels based on the following criteria; ambience, family friendliness, rooms, restaurants, cleanliness, business facilities, location, leisure facilities, staff attitude and value for money.
