Independent travel agency Affinion International Travel has re-structured its commercial team in preparation for its upcoming development plans. The commercial team is now responsible for travel product and Mark Mitchell, previously head of commercial, will front a team of six as commercial and product director for travel. In this role, Mitchell and his team will look to develop and launch new products, including private label technology. We have re-structured our commercial team so that sourcing new and innovative travel products and bringing them to the market is at the heart of our plans for 2011, as well as further developing existing travel products and concepts,” said Mitchell. “In terms of new travel product we are looking to distribute, we know that there is plenty of high quality travel product out there and we don’t want to limit ourselves to what we currently offer.” The company also plans to boost its supplier partnerships and ready works with more than 500 UK travel trade partners including airlines, tour operators, ancillary providers and cruise lines.
