The new daily service offers 14 flights each week. Tay Za, Air Bagan’s Chairman, told a welcoming ceremony at Changi Airport that the Singapore service marks “a new phase” of the airline’s operation. “I believe that our service will promote the relationship between the two countries, at the same time boost tourism with ASEAN nations,” he was quoted as saying by AFP news.
The airline began its first international service flying to Bangkok in May this year. SilkAir, and Jetstar Asia, already link Singapore and Yangon.
