Air Costa plans more regional flights

Air Costa plans to add more regional flights to its network.
The Vijaywada-based carrier, is in the process to start operations to three more cities—Visakhapatnam, Madurai and Coimbatore, as per The Times of India report. The regional carrier is awaiting air operating permits and schedule operating permits from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for the routes and timings of flights from these three cities.
The airline, which is focusing on improving connectivity between second and third tier town cities, also plans to add two more Embraer jets after getting the permits from the DGCA.
Currently, the low-cost carrier operates Embraer E-170 and E-190 jets to six cities—Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru. “We have achieved a load factor of 72.6 per cent during December 2013 and are moving towards taking up a sizable chunk of the market share,” the airline was quoted.
