Thailand will stage its first air show later this month in an attempt to demonstrate the strength of the country’s aviation industry, the Bangkok Post reported. The show, scheduled from 24-26 July, will be hosted at the city’s second airport, Don Mueang as part of a government plan to find new roles for the hub, which has been left underused since the opening of Suvarnabhumi Airport in 2006.
The show will include static displays of 70 aircraft, a flying show of 15 light aircraft, a seminar on the aviation industry, and the future of aviation. About 100 exhibition booths will be on show, featuring airlines, universities, pilot associations and civil aviation institutions.
