Air Transat has announced a new direct flight from Toronto to Tirana, Albania, starting 18 June 2026. This weekly service is part of the airline's most extensive Summer 2026 programme, which includes nine new routes, annualised services, and increased frequencies on key routes.
The introduction of the Toronto-Tirana route marks Air Transat as the first North American airline to offer direct flights to Albania, a rising star on the European travel scene. Sebastian Ponce, Air Transat's Chief Revenue Officer, stated, "Our Summer 2026 programme is designed to maximise fleet utilisation, support steady and profitable growth, and diversify our revenue streams."
In addition to Tirana, Air Transat will launch several new routes, including flights from Toronto to Accra and from Montreal to Agadir and Dakar. The airline will also enhance its presence at Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport with a new service to Nantes and increased flights to Paris and Marseille.
Air Transat's network connectivity is further bolstered by partnerships with Porter Airlines, Turkish Airlines, and GOL Airlines, enhancing domestic and international travel options. Founded in Montreal in 1987, Air Transat continues to be a leading travel brand, recognised for its customer service and energy-efficient fleet.
The expanded Summer 2026 programme reflects Air Transat's commitment to offering travellers more choice and flexibility, whilst supporting growth in key markets.
