AirAsia has launched a new ‘Fly-Thru’ service for guests travelling to and from the Pearl River Delta hubs of Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou. The service enables passengers travelling on multiple flights to check-in just once for their entire journey. Travellers flying from Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou can therefore connect to either regional AirAsia or long-haul AirAsia X’s flights at Kuala Lumpur, if the original and connecting flights are between 90 minutes and six hours apart.
Upon arrival in KL passengers will be given access to the transit hall, which is directly connected to the departure hall. Baggage is also passed straight through between flights.
AirAsia Regional Head of Commercial, Kathleen Tan said; “Now with Fly-Thru already available from Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou, our guests may leverage on the strength of our network and connectivity to fly to various destinations across ASEAN and beyond with AirAsia and AirAsia X. With Kuala Lumpur as the gateway, one just needs to bring into play their creativity and imagination, because with AirAsia, the possibilities are endless.”
