The Indonesian subsidiary of Air Asia is planning to open at least ten international routes from Indonesia this year, in an effort to reach its target of carrying 3.5 million passengers from the country in 2009, the Jakarta Post reported.
The low-cost carrier is reportedly considering launching routes connecting Denpasar and Bandung with Singapore, as well as directly linking the Sumatran city of Medan with regional hubs such as Penang, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok and Phuket.
