airBaltic celebrates 30 years of Copenhagen-Riga route

airBaltic, the leading airline in the Baltics, is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its Copenhagen to Riga route this January. This route, one of the airline's earliest direct services, now offers up to three daily flights, connecting passengers to over 80 destinations via Riga, Latvia's capital and the Baltics' primary airport. Mantas Vrubliauskas, VP Network Management at airBaltic, highlighted the route's popularity, stating, “Our flights between both capitals have provided customers with convenient and reliable travel options for both business and leisure.”

The airline plans to increase flight frequencies this summer to better serve its customers. Peter Krogsgaard, Chief Commercial Officer of Copenhagen Airport, expressed his congratulations, noting the fruitful 30-year partnership with airBaltic and the hope for continued expansion of connections to the Baltic region.

Currently, airBaltic operates from two Danish cities: Copenhagen, with flights to Riga and Tallinn, Estonia, and Billund, with services to Gran Canaria, Spain. The airline, known for its modern Airbus A220-300 fleet, is the first in Europe to offer free high-speed SpaceX Starlink internet on its flights. It provides both Economy and Business Class options, ensuring a tailored travel experience.

Over the past three decades, airBaltic has grown into a globally respected carrier, linking the Baltic States to numerous European destinations and beyond, thus enhancing regional connectivity.
