Airbus manufacturing centre in China

Airbus China andHarbin Aircraft Industry Group (HAIG) are to operate a manufacturing centre in Harbin, Chinato produce aircraft composite material parts and components.
The manufacturingcentre, which will be set up in early 2009, will be an equity joint ventureenterprise, with HAIG holding an 80% stake and Airbus China owning theremaining 20%.
According to thecontract, the manufacturing centre will manufacture composite materials partsand components for the Airbus A320 Family and participate in theindustrialisation and serial production of Airbus A350 XWB work-packages.
Airbus said thecentre will apply the aircraft manufacturer’s standards and procedures and meetits technical and quality requirements. Staff will also be trained to Airbusrequirements.
