The wing of a Japan Airlines (JAL) plane scraped the runway on landing at Osaka airport yesterday, an AFP report has said. None of the 168 people on board were injured when the incident happened. The plane involved was a JAL McDonnell Douglas MD-81 arriving from Niigata.
The runway was closed for about an hour, with eight domestic flights cancelled and six diverted to nearby airports, the report said.
