Airlines eye Macau operating licence

Following the withdrawal of Viva Macau Airlines’ Air Operating Certificate, Asian carriers are now reportedly looking into the opportunity of stepping into the breach, According to a Financial Times report, the Macau licence is now on offer, offering airlines the opportunity to tap into the world’s largest gaming market. Interested companies are reported to include AirAsia. The report claims that Tony Fernandes’ low-cost carrier has already held preliminary talks about establishing a joint venture in Macau.
