The Sydney Morning Herald reports that British budget airline Easyjet’s plan to conduct weddings in the sky crash landed on last week after local officials said they could not grant permission.
Easyjet said earlier this month it had applied to the local council at its base at Luton airport, north of London, but the council has now refused permission on grounds that the law does not permit it.
“It would appear that faceless bureaucrats in windowless offices have scuppered the dreams of many who wished to get married in the air,” he added.
