Alila Hotels & Resorts will launch three new properties in Asia this autumn, including its first hotel in China.
The luxury hotel group has unveiled details of a trio of new properties that will open in Indonesia and China within the space of two months later this year.
Kicking off this phase of expansion in September 2015 will be the Alila Seminyak in Bali. Located on the island’s southwest coast, the resort will feature 240 rooms and suites housed in four-storey blocks, ranging from 46-177m², plus a vast 811m² penthouse. Facilities will include a beachfront restaurant and bar, a spa, gym, swimming pools, and indoor and outdoor meeting space.
It will become Alila’s fifth property in Bali.
The company will then continue to expand its Indonesian portfolio with the launch of the Alila Solo, in Central Java. This urban resort will feature 255 rooms and suites ranging from 40-200m². It will also feature a rooftop bar overlooking the city, a restaurant, spa, gym, MICE facilities and a kids’ club.
And completing this rapid period of growth in October 2015, Alila will unveil its first ever Chinese resort. Located in the bamboo forests of Zhejiang province, eastern China, Alila Anji will be set on a hillside location overlooking a lake.
Designed in the style of a traditional Chinese village, the resort will feature 74 villas, two restaurants, a spa, heated indoor swimming pool, library, gym, kids’ club and recreational centre. There will also be a dedicated conference centre for the MICE market.
The launch of Alila Anji marks the start of a period of rapid expansion in China, where Alila is planning to open 10 hotels and resorts by 2017. These form part of a global pipeline of 19 Alila properties that are all due to open by 2018.
