Alila Hotels & Resorts has unveiled the three properties it expects to open in 2014.
The Asian boutique hotel company, which currently operates nine properties in India and Indonesia, is set to expand its portfolio in both these countries next year, as well as adding its first resort in the Middle East.
First to open in March 2014 will be the Alila Jabal Akhdar Oman, a new luxury property set 2,000 metres above sea level, approximately two hours’ drive from Muscat. The resort will feature 78 rooms, six loft suites and two two-bedroom Jabal Villas with private pools, jacuzzis and steam rooms. Resort facilities include a cliff-side restaurant, pool, spa and fitness centre.
Following this, the company will launch the Alila Seminyak Bali, on Bali’s southwest coast. This resort will feature 240 rooms, including a collection of suites and one penthouse that are available for sale.
Finally, opening in late 2014 will be the Alila Fort Bishangarh, a converted heritage hill fort in the Aravalli mountain range, close to Jaipur. The property will feature 59 suites and a range of facilities including a spa, two restaurants, bar and cigar room, wine cellar, library, swimming pool, fitness centre and kids’ club.
These three properties form part of a pipeline of 21 new Alila developments, seven of which are due to open in the next two years. The company’s expansion will also include its first resorts in Malaysia and China.
