Bank managers advising the Italian government on the sale of ailing national carrier Alitalia have discussed a recovery plan with Air France-KLM, CNN has reported. Alitalia’s future has been in the balance since Air France-KLM walked out of talks to take over the Italian carrier earlier this year. The Franco-Dutch carrier has refused to comment on the reports, but Alitalia is scheduled to hold a board meeting today.
