Amadeus today launched a new solution for travel agents in Asia Pacific. Amadeus Printmytrip enables travel quotations, itineraries and electronic tickets to be customised according to the travellers’ needs. Travel agents can modify the design layout and include airline contact details, weather forecast at the travellers’ destination, emergency contact numbers and other important information. The aim is to provide travellers with a more informative, professional travel document.
Bruno des Fontaines, Vice President of Business Solutions for Amadeus Asia Pacific said; “We are very excited to launch Amadeus Printmytrip in Asia. This new solution can be tailored to suit customers’ individual needs and with its extensive range of document customisation features, has the potential to positively impact a travel agency’s brand. Travellers will also benefit from the added convenience of having additional booking information on their itineraries that previously was not possible.”
The new solution is also fully integrated with the Amadeus Selling Platform, allowing agents to distribute travel quotations, itineraries and e-tickets via email or SMS, as well as include important booking information such as fare types, cabin class and baggage allowance to the traveller’s itinerary.
There is also the option of Printmytrip Premium, which enables travel agents to brand the itinerary and up-sell products and services through advertising.
Des Fontaines explained that the option for an alternative source of revenue is becoming increasingly important for travel agents in today’s competitive travel landscape, where the ability to offer more value is key to attracting and retaining customers.
“We are committed to providing the best solutions and support that our travel partners require to stay competitive and increase revenue streams,” he said.
Amadeus Printmytrip will be rolled out across Asia Pacific from August 2011. As part of the launch promotion, Printmytrip will be offered free of charge to interested travel agencies until the end of October 2011. For more details please visit www.amadeus.com/amadeus/apacsolutions.
