American Airlines will begin operating a new service between Dallas and Beijing on 7 May 2015, after Chinese and US aviation authorities approved the route.
Flights will operate daily, departing Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) at 1040 and arriving at Beijing Capital International Airport at 1415 the following day. On the return leg, flights will depart the Chinese capital at 1625 and get back into DFW at 1700.
Flights will be available for booking from 24 January.
“The Asia Pacific region is a key market for American and we would like to thank the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and the US Department of Transportation for granting us the authority to operate this very important service,” said Andrew Nocella, American’s chief marketing officer.
“This new route gives our customers direct access between these two key business markets for the first time and will also provide customers hundreds of connecting opportunities to destinations worldwide.”
American will operate the route using a Boeing 777-200 aircraft featuring flat-bed seats in business class.
The new flight from DFW will complement American’s existing service from Chicago to Beijing, and from DFW to Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo.
