United Continental Holdings has reported its traffic results for February 2011, with demand for United Air Lines and Continental Airlines services declining 1.1% year-on-year. Capacity increased of 1.8%, leading to a 2.3-percentage point drop in load factor.
Due to the recent increase in fuel prices, the company plans to reduce capacity from its previous 2011 projections by approximately 1% from May, and by 4% from September.
