Viceroy takes helm of Yas Hotel

Viceroy Hotel Group will take managerial control of the landmark Yas Hotel after negotiating a deal with master developer Aldar. The contract is Viceroy Hotels first move outside of the US and it currently manages properties in Santa Monica, Anguilla, Miami and Snowmass. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, deputy CEO & CCO, Aldar said: “[Viceroy Hotel Group’s] reputation for delivering returns for owners and operating unique “experience” hotels make them the perfect fit for this important asset. As the owner of seven hotels on Yas Island, Aldar plays a unique role in capturing synergies and creating economies of scale across these assets for the benefit of both ourselves and our hotel operators. In addition, we continue to coordinate efforts to further increase the attraction of Yas Island as a destination through our operations, marketing and continued development.”
