WTM Monday visitors up 8%

Visitors to World Travel Market on the first day were up 8% compared to last year, figures have revealed. The day saw 7, 614 visitors invited by exhibitors come to the show (up 14% on 2010) with 22, 913 people at the show in total.
“The exhibitor invitation policy for the day of WTM was introduced to allow exhibitors to negotiate business deals with those people they want to sign contracts with,” said Simon Press, exhibitions director at Reed Travel.
In addition, WTM 2011 was also trending on Twitter on Monday amongst UK users.
