All Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced that it is looking to build a joint venture with Lufthansa on routes between Japan and Europe. The tie-up, which is currently waiting to be approved, would see the two airlines manage scheduling, pricing and sales together. “By forging this closer cooperation with one of our partner airlines in the Star Alliance, we will significantly enhance our ability to serve customers throughout Europe and offer new choice and convenience for passengers,” said Shinichiro Ito, president and CEO of ANA.
