ANA returns to full-year profit

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced its results for full financial year 2010-11, which ended on 31 March 2011. Net profits totalled JPY23.3 billion (US$285 million) for the 12-month period, marking a return to profitability for the carrier, which posted a JPY57.3 billion loss in the fiscal year 2009-10. ANA’s revenues totalled JPY1.36 trillion in the 12-month period – up 10.5% year-on-year. The result was largely achieved in the first three quarters of the year however, with the 11 March earthquake and rising fuel prices contributing to a JPY14.2 billion loss in the three months to 31 March.”2010 was a year of business growth and improved operational performance by enhancing competitiveness and improving cost structure
