ANA to raise US$1.6bn through shares sale

All Nippon Airways (ANA) is likely to sell JPY150 billion (US$1.6 billion) in shares this months as it prepares to take delivery of its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Bloomberg has reported. The carrier is the launch customer for Boeing’s new plane, and is due in February to receive the first of an order of 50 Dreamliners, worth as much as US$8.1 billion at current list prices.
All Nippon Air is predicting a profit of JPY3 billion this fiscal year after losing JPY4.3 billion in 2007-08.
