All Nippon Airways (ANA) has released its passenger traffic results for the month of February, with international demand, measured in revenue passenger kilometres (RPK), increasing 21.1% year-on-year. The airline’s seat capacity expanded 32.2% in the month, causing average load factor to slip back to 72.2%. All four of ANA’s global regions experienced double-digit rise in RPK in February, led by routes to and from Asia/Oceania, which surged 39.4% year-on-year. Unfortunately for ANA, the events of 11 March are expected to have had a significant impact on the airline’s performance last month. ANA’s results for March will be released next month.
