Jabal Al Akhdhar will soon witness the development of a new luxury property. The information was confirmed by Al Jaber Engineering and Contracting (ALEC) who has been given the contract to build the property at a cost of around US$ 53 million, as reported by Oman Daily Observer.
The Jabal Akhdar Anantara Hotel Resort & Spa will be the second five -star hotel to be developed in this up-and-coming resort destination.
Owned by a major Omani government pension fund, the 115 room resort will also feature a spa, Teen Fitness club, Kids Club, garden villas, cliff edge villas, a presidential villa, utilities rooms, and other amenities. Oman-based Services & Trade Co LLC (S&T) is ALEC’s joint venture partner in the execution of the Jabal Akhdar hotel project.
Significantly, the new resort will be the second luxury property in the Sultanate to sport the Anantara brand. The Group made its debut in the Sultanate when it signed a contract last October for the operation of the Al Baleed Anantara Resort & Spa in Dhofar Governorate.
The resort, featuring 30 hotel rooms located in a central hotel building, 106 pool villas, health spa, recreational facilities and specialty restaurant, is due to be launched in 2016.
