AOT Holidays rides Wave of success

01 Sep 09 (TravMedia.com): The team at AOT Holidays are smiling from ear to ear after a fortnight of outstanding achievements including the successful negotiation of new retail partnerships, brochure accolades and unprecedented campaign success.
In a company first, AOT Holidays has entered into a new partnership agreement with retailers Harvey World Travel and Travelscene American Express by joining Harvey World Travel’s Phoenix program and Travelscene American Express’s Quantum program.
AOT Holidays CEO Andrew Burnes said that inclusion in these programs strengthens AOT’s long-standing relationships with both Harvey World Travel and Travelscene American Express.
“Our participation in both Phoenix and Quantum ensures our wholesale brands; Sunlover Holidays, Travelpoint Holidays and New South Wales Holidays and their suppliers receive the highest possible preferred status and recognition with Harvey World Travel and Travelscene American Express,” Mr Burnes said.
In further endorsement from Harvey World Travel, Queensland holiday specialists Sunlover Holidays took home top honours from last weeks Harvey World Travel conference in Fiji where the brand was awarded The Harvey World Travel Brochure of the Year ahead of over 50 brochures from around the globe.
Mr Burnes said that receiving the highest possible accolade for the Sunlover Holidays brochures from Harvey World Travel staff is a credit to the Sunlover Holidays team and their 550+ suppliers.
“Receiving this award confirms that Sunlover Holidays consistently delivers the largest and most competitive range of Queensland holiday options in the best possible way,” Mr Burnes said.
To add to the brands success, Sunlover Holidays recent Unreal Deals campaign, which was run in partnership with Tourism Queensland, delivered more than $6.5 million in sales, positioning it as the best performing Queensland domestic retail campaign.
The Harvey World Travel Brochure of the Year award and ‘Unreal Deals’ campaign success comes just months after Sunlover Holidays won the Best Wholesaler – Australian Product award at the 2009 AFTA Travel Industry Awards.
