Airports of Thailand (AoT) has said it may help Thailand’s struggling carriers cope with the pressure of high fuel costs by cutting airport service charges, the Bangkok Post has reported.
AoT’s acting-President Serirat Prasutanond said the state-controlled airport operator “may” reduce the landing and parking fees at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, following a request by Thailand’s Airline Operators Committee (AOC). Landing and parking fees are though to represent about 20% of AoT’s revenues.
