Archipelago International is expanding its budget hospitality offering with the signing of three new favehotels in Indonesia.
Located in Jakarta, the favehotel Cendrawasih will consist of 120 rooms and will be located close to the airport. The 100-room favehotel Daan Mogot will be located near the Ciputra Mall and will provide easy access to the Toll Highway. In Bali, favehotel Cokroaminoto will offer 120 rooms and will be located in the commercial district of Denpasar.
Commenting on the news, vice president sales & marketing Archipelago International, Norbert Vas, said: “The signing of the three new favehotels in this first quarter shows the level of growth that we are aiming for in 2014.
“We have already dramatically increased our hotel development pipeline and we plan to continue expanding the presence of Archipelago-managed hotels throughout the year and into the future.”
Archipelago International already has 20 favehotels in its portfolio with a further 25 properties scheduled to open this year. The pipeline includes 10 hotels in greater Jakarta, another six in Bali, and several others in Yogyakarta and Makassar, as well as in Penang, Malaysia.
Looking ahead to the next three months, favehotel Puri Indah, favehotel Zainul Arifin, and favehotel Atang Sanjaya are expected to open in Jakarta.
