Ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) have inspected the Kunming-Bangkok highway, ahead of their meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister, Yang Jiechi. Xinhua reported that the ministers visited the Mohan Port, on the China-Laos border - a key stop on the 1,750km-long road linking Kunming, in China’s Yunnan province, with the Thai capital. The meeting is intended to kick off a series of events to celebrate the China-ASEAN Friendship & Exchange Year.
