BALI, October 27, 2009: Indonesia-based ASIABEDS, under the umbrella of Buaya Group, is undertaking a rebranding/restructuring exercise that will see it split into two separate divisions: ASIABEDS - FIT, a hotel wholesaler, and Buaya Travel, an inbound tour operator.
ASIABEDS-FIT will operate as a hotel wholesaler with its main focus on Asia/Pacific hotels. The company will give full access to hotels to control their inventory and rates, thus enabling it to support rate parity and, in return, will manage last minute availability with instant confirmation.
From April 01, 2010 only hotels with last minute availability will be featured. Travel agents can sign up with ASIABEDS-FIT and, on approval of their credit application, they will have free access to the company’s system.
Mr. Renato Domini, supported by a dedicated team of trained staff, will oversee ASIABEDS-FIT’s daily operations.
Buaya Travel, previously ASIABEDS’ DMC division, will take over all the division’s functions and activities. The company will focus only on inbound travel to Indonesia. It will offer various products and services that include ticketing, transfers, themed itineraries excursions, round trips within Indonesia, tailor-made tour programmes, and soft and hard adventure tours. It will also cater to FIT/GIT, incentives, meetings and events.
Operations Manager, Mr. Ardita, who reports to Mr. Domini, will head Buaya Travel.
The rebranding exercise is an ongoing process and will be completed by end November 2009.
In addition to those two brands, the Buaya Travel Group also has LUX2asia under its stable. This is a distinctive brand that caters exclusively to high-end markets, providing products and services of the highest standard and quality – from hotels and spas to private concierge service, dining experiences and land and sea adventures.
The Buaya Travel Group has also appointed market managers for Russia/CIS, India, Latin countries (Spain, Portugal, South and Central America) and the ASEAN countries to specially service these regions.
