09 Sep 09 (TravMedia.com): Azamara Quest combines luxury and adventure on this 14 day cruise. Smaller and sleeker than most cruise ships, you will explore Hong Kong, China, Hue (Danang) & Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Sihanoukville, Cambodia, Bangkok (Klong Toey) Thailand and Singapore. Itinerary includes one-way economy airfare from Singapore to Hong Kong.
The Azamara Quest features a Casino, Piano and Wine Bars, Butler and Concierge amenities, Spa and Wellness Center with outdoor relaxation lounge and daily enrichment programs.
After shopping and exploring bustling Hong Kong on Day 2, the Azamara Quest will depart for Hue (Denang) in Vietnam, where you can tour Vietnam’s former capital by rickshaw or by foot. Ancient temples, palaces and tombs line the banks of the Perfume River and herald the rich history of the 17th Century Nguyen dynasty.
Day 6, you will explore Ho Chi Minh City located on the edge of the Mekong Delta. You will be struck by the blend of French colonial architecture with modern and Asian influences. One of Quest’s enrichment programs includes Saigon by night, taking in Ho Chi Minh City’s lights and visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral, Presidential Palace and Municipal Theatre.
Next stop, Sihanoukville, a tiny beach town on the southern coast of Cambodia. Here you can Island hop, dive, snorkel, or simply find a spot to soak up the sun. Day tours include a visit to a local marketplace to see Khmer commerce at hand and the nearby fishing village of Tumnuk Rolok.
Day 10 to day 12 you will spend in one of Asia’s most vibrant Cities, Bangkok. Here you will have ample time to explore the myriad of temples and shops by day and immerse yourself in the energy of the street stalls, bars and clubs at night.
Azamara’s Venice of the East Tour, includes a visit to the Grand Palace, once the royal residence and Wat Phra Kaew, the site of Thailand’s most respected Emerald Buddha. As you travel through Bangkok’s waterways and view local people’s homes, you will really feel like you are in the Venice of the East.
Singapore Day 14 and Day 15 – The site of the world’s busiest port, Singapore offers a rich variety of cultural influences. Play evening golf on lighted fairways; experience the nightlife on Mohamed Sultan Road; or relax at an outdoor spa.
