Asian traffic boosts ANA

All Nippon Airways (ANA) experienced a 15.8% rise in passenger traffic in January 2011, driven by strong growth on its Asia/Oceania routes. Demand on routes to and from this region expanded 25.0% during the month – the strongest growth of any of the airline’s international regions. This contrasted with growth of 16.2% on ANA’s North American routes and a 1.9% decline in traffic on routes to and from Europe. ANA’s international load factor averaged 69.4% in January. Demand for the carrier’s domestic routes increased 1.6% with load factors averaging 55.6%.
