Aston International is planning to open a new hotel and conference centre in the city of Palembang, South Sumatra. The four-star property will open its doors in time for the 2011 SEA Games, which is being hosted in the city for the first time.
The Aston Palembang Hotel & Conference Center will feature 147 rooms and suites, along with extensive conference facilities including large 600-pax capacity ballroom and several meeting rooms.
Norbert Vas, Aston’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing, said; “This newest Aston Hotel & Conference Center fits perfectly into our goal of becoming Indonesia’s leading hotel group for meetings and conferences by developing mid-sized international standard four-star hotels with sophisticated meeting facilities throughout several Indonesian provincial capitals and secondary cities. In the past 15 months we opened similar properties in Pontianak, Serpong, Bogor, Bandung, Jayapura and most recently in Banka and have further Aston Hotels & Conference Centers under construction in Solo, Purwokerto, Jambi, Makassar and Banjarmasin.”
