A whale shark at the aquarium of the Atlantis Hotel on the palm Jumeirah is to be released into the wild, the Gulf News has reported. The four metre-long shark had been found in shallow waters off the UAE coast and placed in the 11 million-litre aquarium. However the Atlantis, owned by Kerzner International, has taken the advice of environmentalists and agreed for it to be tagged and released back into the wild.
