Aurangabad dubbed tourism capital of Maharashtra

Aurangabad was declared tourism capital of Maharashtra yesterday by the state’s Tourism Minister Vijaykumar Gavit. The announcement was made at a two-day tourism conclave at the Hotel Rama International in Aurangabad. In his speech, the minster revealed a host of new developments for the travel and hospitality industries in the state ahead of the new year which will be celebrated as a year of tourism in Maharashtra. According to United News of India, he went on to say that the Aurangabad Heritage Corridor will be marketed internationally to Buddhist faith countries and that tax reliefs will be levied for the hospitality sector.
