The on-going battle between British Airways and Unite continue after a 7-day strike was announced today.Cabin crew plan to strike on March 20-22 and on March 27-30, should the majority oppose the proposal BA has put forward. The result is expected to be released next week.In a statement released today, BA said it was “extremely disappointed” at Unite’s plans, adding that the action “has no shread of justification.” Unite Assistant General Secretary Len McCluskey, who is the lead negotiator with BA, labeled the clash as “unnecessary”, but felt he has been “faced with a management which at times has almost seemed to want a dispute.”The strike follows a rerun ballot from Unite after the High Court prohibited a 12-day strike over the Christmas period.
