British Airways (BA) has halted all flights to Pakistan following the bombing of the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad, The Times of London reported an airline spokesperson as saying.
“We have temporarily suspended our flight operations in Pakistan following Saturday’s suicide attack,” the spokesperson said. “The safety of our customers, crew and aircraft is of paramount importance.”
The Marriott Islamabad was devastated by a truck bomb on Saturday evening, which killed at least 53 people, including the Czech Republic’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Ivo Zdarek.
