British Airways and Iberia have expanded the number of routes operating under a codeshare arrangement. The UK flag carrier is now placing its two-letter code on Iberia’s services to three Latin American capital cities; Caracas (Venezuela), Montevideo (Uruguay) and Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic). In return, Iberia will place its code in BA’s London-Sydney flights.
This latest codeshare agreement is part of the partner airlines’ plan to expand BA’s presence in Latin America, and broaden Iberia’s reach in Asia Pacific.
