British Airways has launched a new private jet service for customers flying within North America and the Caribbean. The ‘PrivateConnect’ service will offer ‘pay-by-the-trip’ access to a network of private aircraft operated by CitationAir and its parents, the Cessna Aircraft Company. Customers can register online and ring a dedicated phone number to use the pay-as-you-go service by credit card to cut out up-front fees and long-term commitments. “Now we can offer our customers a seamless service to fly when they want and where they want, to almost any destination within the United States, Caribbean, southern Canada and Mexico in the luxury and privacy of their very own private jet,” explained BA Director of Strategy and Business Units Robert Boyle. Chauffeured transport is available for those transferring between two carriers and the service can be used by passengers if they haven’t arrived on time or are due to depart on another flight.
