More than 300 passengers and crew aboard a British Airways Boeing 747 were evacuated after smoke filled the cabin at Phoenix airport, in the US. The BBC reported that there were shouts of “fire”, however investigators found no evidence of a fire. An electrical problem is suspected.
Confirming the safe exit of all 298 passengers and 18 crew, a BA statement said the aircraft had been evacuated “following the usual procedures”.
