BA, unions fail to agree pay deal

British Airways has asked the conciliation service ACAS to intervene in its negotiations with trade unions a bid to reach a deal over jobs and pay. The BBC reported that talks between BA and the workers’ unions over cost savings at the airline have so far failed to reach agreement.
BA wants staff to accept a two-year pay freeze, according to the BBC. The company had already announced it was looking for 3,000 redundancies among crew and administrative staff.
